This may sound like a bit of strange question. Please let me explain myself! I have neurological disorder that causes my hands and forearms to go numb and well as my feet and legs. Lately, weight lifting has been VERY hard for me as I just do not have the strength that I once did. I go 3 miles (60 minute) walk 3 times a week and that helps me mentally and physically, but it isn't taking the weight off like I would hope for. What are some other low impact exercises that I could do that would Read more [...]
I decided today that I want to start using the stationary bike in my garage to get back into shape but I am unsure of how it will impact my body. I am a female and 16 years old. I am rather short and well proportioned however I would like to rid some extra fat on my stomach/sides. Will riding the bike help me accomplish my goal? Also, I ride the stationary on low intensity. Will this make my legs bigger or help trim some of the e tea fat I have on my legs/thighs? Thank you!

If I burn 500 calories and eat 1200 calories, can I lose weight and how much? I am a 5'6, 149 pound, 14 year old girl. I am very athletic and a good portion of my weight is muscle. I play a lot of soccer so I have large/strong legs but are a little flabby. I would have to say I have about 15-20 pounds of fat to lose.
To burn my 500 calories I will be doing Urban Rebounding (mini trampoline workout). Do not say this isn't going to do anything for weight/fat loss because it is one of the best exercises Read more [...]

I have a patella problem on both of my knees and my tendons and ligaments are messed up. I can't do lunges at all, way too painful, and squats are pretty hard. I'd love to make my legs and butt more muscular but it's hard to find things that I can do. Suggestions are much appreciated!
Also, I'd like things that I can do at home. I don't have any equipment and I can't afford a gym membership.

I tore my acl playing football in high school and ever since then, I've gained a little fat on my legs and butt. I really want to go back to being the skinny me I used to be.
Any suggestions? Swimming is out of the option btw, because I don't have a pool nearby.
What about high intensity interval training? Does that work? Please help! I want to start today and be skinny again!

I can't run; I have horrible knees. I tore my acl a few years back, and I have re-tore it again. I have been "dieting," but I'm struggling with working out my legs and hips. I do wall-sits and some leg lifts. I am looking for exercises that aren't so tough on my knees. Thanks and God Bless!

I just joined curves and I feel the greatest workout in my legs and in second my arms but I feel nothing in my stomach. I am looking for a great abs workout DVD where I don't have to be on the floor (I have a hard cold floor in which yoga mats are not enough to soften it up so all floor exercises are painful in a non-effective way). Is hip hop abs effective for someone who is "intermediate" in working out? What about turbo jam? Bender Ball? Urban Rebounder? I have done tae bo for about Read more [...]
Let's look at SOME of his match-ups during his time:
Bill Russell (6'10) 22.5 RPG
Bob Pettit (6'9) 16.2 RPG
Jerry Lucas (6'8) 15.6 RPG
Nate Thurmond (6'11) 15.0 RPG
Wes Unseld (6'7) 14 RPG
Walt Bellamy (6'11) 13.7 RPG
Dave Cowens (6'9) 13.6 RPG
Now I'm going to stop right here because we would waste a lot of times putting some more of his match-ups. But Wilt is only about 3 inches (on average) taller than these guys. If size really mattered that much, wouldn't Yao Ming be averaging AT Read more [...]
I am an 17 year old girl and I'm about to start uni in September.
I love sports and want to pursue them at Uni. However, I have been out for almost a year with an injury and in that time I have gained quite a bit of weight particularly on my hips, thighs and legs.
This has made me very paranoid about my body image and a little scared to try out for teams as I don't look the part right now.
I have began exercising again by trying at least 30-45 mins on the rebounder everyday. Should this Read more [...]
